Peter Blauner ist ein renommierter US-amerikanischer Autor, der für seine Kriminalromane bekannt ist. Geboren 1959, wuchs Blauner in New York City auf und begann seine Schreibkarriere als Journalist für New York Magazine, wo er über verschiedene Themen wie Kriminalität, Politik und schlechtes Benehmen schrieb. Blauners Debütroman, Slow Motion Riot, wurde 1992 veröffentlicht und gewann den Edgar Allan Poe Award für das beste Erstlingswerk von Mystery Writers of America.
