Lidia Yuknavitch

Lidia Yuknavitch ist eine Bestseller-Autorin und preisgekrönte Schriftstellerin, die für ihre einzigartige Stimme und Perspektive in der Science-Fiction und anderen Genres bekannt ist. Sie hat mehrere Romane verfasst, darunter „The Small Backs of Joan“, das den Ken Kesey Award bei den Oregon Book Awards im Jahr 2016 gewann, und „The Book of Joan“. Ihr Debütroman, „Dora: A Headcase“, war ebenfalls ein Erfolg.

Zusätzlich zu ihrer Fiktion hat Yuknavitch einen weit gerühmten Memoir geschrieben, „The Chronology of Water“, der Finalist für einen PEN Center USA Award für kreative Non-Fiction und Gewinner des PNBA Awards und des Oregon Book Award Reader's Choice war.

Yuknavitch ist auch die Gründerin der beliebten Werkstatt Corporeal Writing, in der sie online und vor Ort unterrichtet. Sie promovierte in Literatur an der University of Oregon und lebt derzeit in Oregon mit ihrem Ehemann Andy Mingo und ihrem Sohn, Miles. Neben ihrem Schreiben und Unterrichten ist Yuknavitch für ihren beliebten TED Talk, „The Beauty of Being a Misfit“, bekannt, der von RED Books adaptiert wurde. Ihr Sachbuch, „The Misfit's Manifesto“, erscheint bei TED Books.

Die Schriften von Yuknavitch wurden in einer Reihe von Publikationen vorgestellt, darunter TANK, Guernica Magazine, Exquisite Corpse, Ms., The Sun, The Iowa Review, Another Chicago Magazine, Zyzzyva, und in den Anthologien Representing Bisexualities, Life As We Show It, Feminaissance, Forms at War und Wreckage of Reason.
