Eryk Pruitt ist ein sehr erfolgreicher Autor, Drehbuchautor und Filmemacher. Er hat mehrere preisgekrönte Krimi- und Horrornovellen verfasst und hat Kurzgeschichten in zahlreichen Publikationen wie Pulp Modern, Avalon Literary Review und Zymbol veröffentlicht. Pruitt war Finalist für den Derringer Award für seine Kurzgeschichte "Knockout" und wurde für zwei Pushcart Prizes nominiert. Zu seinen Romanen gehören "Dirtbags", "Hashtag", "What We Reckon" und "Something Bad Wrong".
Neben seiner schriftstellerischen Tätigkeit ist Pruitt ein erfahrener Filmemacher und hat mehrere preisgekrönte Kurzfilme produziert, darunter "Foodie" und "Liyana, On Command". Er hat auch die achtteilige, wahre Kriminalpodcast-Serie "The Long Dance" über die North Carolina Valentine's Murders produziert und geschrieben. Pruitt lebt derzeit in Hillsborough, North Carolina, wo er häufig an seinem Schreibtisch sitzt und an seiner nächsten Geschichte arbeitet, oder Cocktails in seiner Bar, Yonder, mixt.
