Duane Swierczynski ist ein bekannter amerikanischer Krimiautor, der für seine zahlreichen Sachbücher, Romane und Comics gefeiert wird. Er wurde am 22. Februar 1972 in Frankford geboren, einem Ort in der Nähe von Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nachdem er seine Heimatstadt in den 1990er Jahren verlassen hatte, zog Swierczynski in einen kleinen Ort im Nordosten von Philadelphia.
Swierczynski hat ein beeindruckendes Portfolio an Arbeiten, darunter sechs Sachbücher wie "The Big Bad Book" und "The Big Book". Neben seinem Schreiben hat er auch redaktionelle Fähigkeiten in verschiedenen Publikationen eingebracht. Er hat als Redakteur bei Details und Men's Health gearbeitet und war auch Redakteur bei der Philadelphia City Paper.
Neben seiner Sachbuch-Arbeit ist Swierczynski auch ein produktiver Comic-Autor. Er hat über 250 Comics geschrieben, darunter "Cable", "Deadpool", "The Immortal Iron Fist", "Punisher", "Birds of Prey", "Bloodshot", "Star Wars: Rogue One" und "The Black Hood". Er hat auch mehrere Werke mitko-kreiert, wie "The Guilty", ein Audible Original, und "Lion & Lamb", ein Detektiv-Thriller, den er zusammen mit James Patterson geschrieben hat.
Swierczynskis Bibliografie umfasst auch 15 Romane wie "Expiration Date", "Canary" und das kommende "California Bear". Seine Kurzgeschichtensammlung "Lush & Other Tales of Boozy Mayhem" wurde von Cimarron Street Books veröffentlicht.
