Der Krimi-Serien-Autor Colin Conway, gebürtig aus Washington im Osten der USA, erlangte erstmals Anerkennung durch die Veröffentlichung seines Debütromans "Some Degree of Murder" im Jahr 2012, an dem er zusammen mit Frank Zafiro schrieb. Seitdem veröffentlichte Conway über vierzig Titel, darunter mehrere Romane-Serien, Kurzgeschichten-Sammlungen und Einzelromane. Seine produktive Schreibaktivität machte ihn zu einem der bekanntesten Romanautoren aus Spokane, Washington, wo er derzeit lebt.
Colin Conway ist Schöpfer der 509 Crime Stories, einer Serie von Romanen, die in Washington im Osten der USA spielen, und der Cozy Up-Reihe, die die Konventionen des Genres der gemütlichen Krimis herausfordert. Wie Libby Klein, Autorin der Poppy McAllister-Reihe, feststellt: "Cozy Up to Death" ist "nicht die Kuschelige deiner Großmutter." Conway kooperierte auch bei der Charlie-316-Reihe, die die politische/kriminelle Thriller-Novelle "Charlie-316" umfasst, ein Roman, der für seine "faszinierende und zwanghafte Lesbarkeit" gelobt wurde.
Bevor Colin Conway ein erfolgreicher Autor wurde, diente er in der US-Armee und wurde später Offizier bei der Spokane Police Department. Er war auch Besitzer einer Wäscherei, Investor in einer Bar und Betreiber einer Karateschule. Derzeit arbeitet er als Immobilienmakler für Gewerbeimmobilien.
